The skull and neck are way too complicated. It is just ridiculous that I work my butt off for a B in gross anatomy and spend very little time for easy A's in everything else. Of course, gross counts way more than everything else does. I stink at spacial relations and am going to suffer. Thank goodness gross is over at Christmas!

On the plus news, I got a lot of Charlie time this weekend, so I am generally a happy girl. On top of that, Clay is at Grandma's! It will be awesome to have him here, but it may get crowded very quickly with four of them in the house.

Your Social Dysfunction:
Happy

You're a happy person - you have a good amount of self-esteem, and are socially healthy. While this isn't a social dysfunction per se, you're definitely not normal. Consider yourself lucky: you walk that fine line between 'normal' and being outright narcissistic. You're rare - which is something else to be happy about.

Things have been really great lately. School is going well. My two classes this semester are going to be interesting, even though one of them will probably take quite a bit of time. Research-wise, I have a much better handle on what I'm going to be doing. Especially in the next few weeks until the conference in March. Yeah for everything falling into place.

This week has been mostly normal. I am in lab during the day, but there are no classes until next Wednesday. It's been weird starting so late compared to everyone else. Then again, we started a lot earlier than everyone else did. And I haven't looked, but my bet is that we'll be getting out late as well.

There is a grad student here that I hang out with a decent amount that's leaving for another school, so there has been a lot of time hanging out with him for me and everyone else as well.

I'm frustrated right now at the lab work, but that will pass.

Hey guys, my phone is pretty much dead and I left my charger in G-town when I first went down there. So if I haven't returned your call, I'm not ignoring you, I just can't get the phone to have enough minutes to do it.

Ten things I feel but won't say to ten people.

1.I’m so glad you are shaping up. I want what’s best for you and I hope you know that anytime you need me, I’ll be there.

2. Stop being so demanding. I adore you, and you know I honor you in all things, but I often feel that you treat me as if I am a child. I’m not.

3.You don’t know how happy you make me. You are the one I call when I need someone to lift me up. Thank you for your ability to analyze a situation logically.

4.We have lost touch in the past months and that makes me a bit sad. Hopefully we can reconnect soon. You mean a lot to me.

5.You are the best friend a girl could have. I love you just like family. I can’t even begin to say what you mean to me.

6.Please take better care of yourself. You deserve better than how you are treating yourself. I don’t want you to wind up sick or injured.

7.Thank you for all that you’ve taught me, I really do appreciate all that you’ve done.

8.I am so glad we are hanging out and talking again. You are one of my favorite people in the world. I love being around you because you are so kind and yet strong.

9.Thank you for your unending love and loyalty. You are my role model in so many things. I love talking to you a million times a day and I miss you the most when we leave each other’s company.

10.Just because you think I’m an asshole does not mean that I am. I refuse to let you make me dislike anything about me.

My new job
After reading this article:

I think my new goal in life is to become a university President. Can anyone disagree with that?!

I found this today and I thought it was interesting:

It talks about what cities in the US were the first to do various things. A lot of the answers suprised me.

1 Lists are great and should be made for all occasions.
2 I am having a great time in Mississippi, the people here are great and the climate is nice.
3 They have trees here- real live trees.
4 I am getting sick of sandwiches.
5 A big bonus for living here is being close to my Grandmother and Aunt who give me things to eat that aren't sandwiches.
6 I hate eating alone, so I try not to
7 I have cable tv for free here because I gave the nice men some pie
8 My Grandmother made the pie of course
9 If I had made it, they would have not given me cable tv and might have taken away my cable internet in spite
10 The radio here is actually better than the one in Waco
11 Even though it was funny to listen to the ghettoness in Waco
12 There is actually about the same amount of stuff to do here as there was in Waco
13 Waco sucks
14 Baylor wasn't so bad- once you lived off of campus
15 I do miss G-town, Waco, and Austin though
16 But I'll be going back in Thanksgiving to have my mouth worked on
17 Again
18 But no matter the condition of it- I'm still going to try to eat Thanksgiving steak
19 Two years with being able to eat during Thanksgiving was enough for a lifetime
20 My brother may come see me
21 If he is allowed to leave the state of Texas
22 Everyone I've meet here says that everyone from Texas is rather pompous about the state
23 It is a great state, though
24 Maybe not the most entertaining- I can think of many which are more fun
25 Then again I like the heat
26 There is nothing wrong with Texas summers- plus Texas winters are the best
27 Except the lack of snow
28 If it could be hot and still snow, that would be awesome
29 Too bad I have spent 4 years in college where they have crushed my dreams in telling me this can't happen
30 OH! But it just might
31 And in the winter wonderland of 60 to 70 degree weather- unicorns will dance around
32 Even though my mouth has gotten dirty over the years, they'll still let me pet them
33 I want to go to Boulder
34 Maybe it will be cooler up there
35 I really want some sushi
36 Eel sounds really good
37 Or maybe crab...
38 Well, I should go read somemore

Wow, the printing fee is a lot here. No pages for free.

Plus, $.25 cents for ones in color. Talk about expensive.

I tried to print my graphs in the lab, but somethings must be done in color, I guess for you to be able to see them.

I just ate at the Great Wall which is a psuedo Chinese restaurant in the union at school. Yeah, I am a looser bc-

1. They didn't take credit cards
2. My cash was in the car
3. I didn't figure out that5 they didn't take cards until I got my food

Thankfully the girl who is in lab with my spotted me 3 bucks. Haha, wow not having actual money on you is a bad bad idea.

On the other hand, I am rereading CS Lewis's "Four Loves" that Jose got me ages ago. I really think it is one of my favorite books. It talks about the different types of loves that exist and strives to explain about how even the most passionate love can be tainted by impurities. The section that I think was the most interesting was the one that spoke about affection, especially familiar affection.

It shows how when siblings grow up, they are together and share almost everything, especially the parents. Then, later in life, when they begin to develop their own interest, often they feel jealous in a way that the sibling is discovering something novel. I think this is a good description. Lewis writes that while the jealously exists, it is not that the sibling is jealous of the other's new friends or discovery, just that he can't be involved in that part of his life.

In a way, I think this relates to my brother and myself. Often I don't explain to my brother the details of my life, just the ones I think that he will find interesting. Maybe I should tell him more about things I am excited about even if I don't think they will interest him.

Anyway, long story short- good book. And I am excited about Narnia coming out.
